Samples Measured
Since the ionic/molecular sensors/micro-electrodes never touch your sample, you can theoretically measure any sample as long as it is emerged in liquid media.
NMT has been successfully used to measure samples from single small organisms (e.g. seedlings of Arabidopsis, small fish etc.), organs, tissues, a layer of cells, single cells, and even biotic or abiotic enriched organelle.
